PARISH VISION
PARISH GOALS

- Promoting the Catholic faith with its beliefs and values.

- Celebrating the richness of Our Catholic tradition  alive in 

  this community of faith.

- Making members of our parish and Church community

  welcome.

- Grounded in the Eucharist, we embrace Diversity among

  persons, cultures and Apostolates, and foster the bonds of

  charity that reflect the Trinitarian relationship of God,

  creating a culture of communion.

Parish Goal I – St. Clare Capital Campaign: 2016 – 2018

Initial Loan $900,000.00 Actual Debt: $192,000.00

  • The Capital campaign will substituted the actual building fund, which is a monthly open donation from the community.

This process (St. Clare Capital Campaign) will include a Stewardship sessions/Homilies/Recollection days in order to catechize and improve on Stewardship.

Parish Goal 2 - The New Evangelization: 2016 - 2018

  • An ongoing formation on Discipleship. Beginning with a retreat on May 14, 2016, followed by 3 months of regularly scheduled meetings and concluding with the first 12 disciple’s and overnight retreat.

Subsequently 12 more parishioners will be called to the same formation.

  • The goal is to Evangelize  50% of the parish by the end of 2018.

Parish Goal 3: Catechesis and Formation

  • Ongoing Formation (Catholic Faith) starting in September 2016 – 2018.

    • To certify all CCD teachers.

    • Recollection days on Catechesis and formation.

    • The Spiritual development of a Teacher/Catechist.

    • Formal Bible Study groups every week.

    • Catechesis every first Thursday of the Month at Church including mass and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

Parish Goal 4: Youth And Young Adults

  • To help, develop and empower youth and their leaders, as they seek to encounter and live as disciples of Jesus Christ in the life of [our parish community], and in our world today. (USCCB)

  • Following the Archdiocese of San Antonio Youth Ministry goals: To form adult leaders in youth ministries and provide them with resources.

  • To offer and further programs that lead the youth to an understanding of God and their role as disciples of Jesus Christ in the world.

  • Certification of the Youth Core. 

  • Strengthen the actual Youth Ministry: Meetings, Teen ACTS, Liturgical celebrations, Lock In and different activities.

  • To hire a part time Youth Minister – 2017 or 2018. This will not be until we pay the debt or at least the Archdiocese modify and decrease at least 50% of the ASF for our Parish.
